Okay I'm fresh off a "vacation" and while I expected some R and R I pretty much got none...but that seems par for the course! This is especially since we had kids...I'm pretty sure the kids loved every second...just like I did when i was a kid...but now i understand why my folks never seemed to fully enjoy our trips...of course when you grow up you have to worry about things like paying the tab...eating out...boat trips...fun fun fun...all costs money...
We went camping...which my wife and I thought was going to be a cheap vacation...UM..let's say it's not...especially when you go with a couple that enjoys GLAMPING...yes GLAMPING...this is not ..the camping I did as a kid...but you know what...it's also good...because I'm old to be doing this stuff...sleeping on the floor...again if you've read any of these you'll know that I'm a man of larger carriage...meaning I'm a big boy...so despite a blow up mattress...my big ass was on the ground each night...thanks cheap mattresses! well not cheap but maybe user error?
Fact - it's worth every minute of it because the kids LOVE it! But I tell you camping ain't cheap! Rounds with drinks, bug spray, ICE...Beer...man it adds up! like BIG time! So my question is...does anyone actually get relaxed on vacation? We went with another couple and I can tell you they brawled and had no fun...that is a post by itself...getting along with your spouse when others around you are not can be tough...seems like the bad mojo can bleed over and cause issues without notice. Well I'm going to get back to relaxing from my non-relaxing vacation...did I mention my basement flooded? Ya...good times folks...next time maybe next time I'll just stay home
